Terms & Policies ExerciSING with Ayrian Gridiron for group music classes, private lessons held at public schools, charter schools, and other institutional premises. 

 

GENERAL INFO

 ExerciSing w/Ayrian Gridiron is an approved vendor for the following Charter Schools:

  • Heartland Charter Schools
  • Valley Oaks Charter School

Group Music Classes Offered:

  • Musicplay (General Music Class)
  • Let's Jam: Beginner Ukulele
  • Let's Jam: Recorder
  • Glee Club

Instructors have been background checked. We also have an open door policy, meaning you’re welcome to join your child’s lesson at any time.

Musicplay and Glee Club are offered on a monthly basis (4 weeks).

Recorder and Beginner Ukulele is a 4-week class.  Each week a new lesson will be taught to build on the last class. Availability of classes is subject to change, and class sizes are limited.   

Other Group music classes will be offered and posted throughout the year and will vary.

 

PAYMENT

Instructors cannot receive any payment directly from the families they teach. All payments must be processed directly through your Charter School.

Parents make sure to follow your charter school's vendor directions. 

Valley Oaks Charter School -  Applications for Vendor Services will be available at the Valley Oaks Elementary front office.  After the application is picked up you are responsible for obtaining the vendor’s signature and returning the complete application to the front office.

Heartland Charter School - Parent's place a request with Heartland for my services. Heartland will process your request within 2 weeks.

I will contact you once I receive an emailed certificate verifying the request has been processed.

ABSENCES 

Per Charter regulations students who miss two classes will be dropped from the course for that month.

 

FEELING SICK 

Students will not be able to attend in-person classes if they are sick. This includes colds, excessive coughing, puking, fever, etc.  If a child is deemed sick or contagious upon arrival they will be asked to leave. If you or your child are sick, please stay home.

 

COVID POLICIES:

Subject to Change due to state and federal legislation regarding COVID-19

Please note that you are taking lessons at your own risk. 

If you have come into contact with someone with COVID-19 please do not show up and inform Ayrian by text @ 661-496 7835 and your charter school immediately. Please state your child's name and student number. 

Upon testing positive we require a 14 day quarantine period for you/your student and a negative COVID-19 test to be produced.

During this 14 day quarantine period you can take Lessons via the student portal. 

"What if my instructor tests positive?"?

During this time we require a negative COVID-19 test to be produced and they will quarantine for 14 days and a negative COVID-19 test result. All Parents will be notified of possible exposure and advised to quarantine. Further action and instruction regarding the situation will be relayed via to the Charter School. 

 

EMERGENCY CANCELLATIONS due to student 

In the event a lesson has to be canceled by a student due to an emergency, student’s can visit the student portal.  No make-up lessons will be given. 

 

CANCELLATIONS due to Instructor

I am an active actor & session singer who is on call. Please understand that there will be unexpected times that I will not be able to have an in-person or virtual class due to having to work on set or at the studio. On such days, parents will be notified beforehand to have their child review the day's lesson via the student portal.  If class has to be canceled due to myself being sick, students will be able to access the student portal for activities. 

 

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT & CLASSROOM OBSERVATION

Parents are encouraged to show a genuine interest in their child’s learning music, to encourage their child (or children) to practice regularly, following the teacher’s guidelines and instructions, and to be patient about their expectations. Parents can attend classes but are asked only to participate when called upon.  Parents who are disruptive will be asked to wait in the waiting room or their vehicle.  Parents who bring their other children into the waiting room and/or classroom during class time will be asked to wait in the waiting room if their child is being disruptive (crying, whining, wanting to participate, touching equipment that should not be handled, etc). Please note that class participation is for the student enrolled. 

 

CLASSROOM INSTRUMENTS 

Students will be using classroom instruments (unless specified).  Parents will be held responsible for intentional damage caused by their child to Ayrian's equipment/instruments, and/or the equipment/instruments of BackStage Music Lessons property located at the class facility. (No exceptions). Upon damage an invoice will be made, and a payment must be arranged ASAP. 

 

PERFORMANCES

Performances will be scheduled throughout the year depending on student’s registered. We cannot guarantee that we will have them every year. A student’s participation in this event is based upon the instructor’s discretion. Location, date and time of the performance will be announced as soon as possible after it is set. 

 

DISCONTINUE CLASSES

Should a student decide to discontinue a class within and/or before the completion and/or start of each registered month, please notify the charter school as well as the Instructor.  

 

PARENT CONCERN PROCESS

At ExerciSING w/Ayrian Gridiron, we take your concerns very seriously. In order for us to address concerns, I request you follow the following process for charter students enrolled:

If you have any concerns or complaints I ask that you first address me professionally.  If I am unable to resolve a matter, please feel free to contact your Charter School.  

 

By Registering and participating in classes you have accepted any and all terms/policies regarding our Music Programs and future changes made to our policies. Please note that all the policy information is to ensure the best operating potential of our business and to keep everyone safe and accountable.
